Anche quest'anno, più puntuale della morte e delle tasse, il primo fine settimana di Agosto, e più precisamente dal 01 al 03 Agosto, si terrà il primo trentennale del Wacken Open Air 2019.  Il bill, come al solito, è composto da un numero spropositato di band etoregenee, per un'overdose di musica garantita, e di seguito sono elencate:

D-A-D, per la quarta volta al festival ma con uno spettacolo realizzato in esclusiva per il Wacken Open Air 2019.
Rage and Lingua Mortiis Orchesta: show speciale per i 20 anni dell' ep realizzato con la Lingua Mortiis Orchestra, show esclusivo che sarà eseguito solo questa volta in Germania.
Il festival si svolge in uno spazio immenso diviso in:
Infield- The Holy Land dove sono ospitati i principali palchi del festival
Wackinger Village & Wastelands, spazi tematici rispettivamente con villaggio medievale vichingo e futuro post apocalittico con mercatini stands food and drink dedicati e palcoscenici tematici
Wakcen Plaza: che è la porta di ingresso sia all'Infield che al campeggio, ove sono dislocati i principali servizi quali ristorazione, metal market, lo stage dell'area è il Wet Stage coperto dal gigantesco tendone del Bullhead City Circus.
E' possibile inoltre tenersi aggiornati sul festival, scaricare mappe ottenere informazioni sulle band ed in tempo reale per le mille attività proposte, tramite l'apposita applicazione “W:O:A” disponibile per le principali piattaforme nel play store.
