Intervista Flash: Corpus Vitreum
Corpus Vitreum è il nome di un nuovo progetto che va ad inserirsi nella multiforme e tumultuosa scena metal italiana.
Jerico ha intervistato per voi i ragazzi del gruppo: sentiamo cosa hanno da dire!
Visto che siete alla prima intervista in questo sito, perché non presentate ai nostri lettori quando ed in che modo avete iniziato il vostro percorso nel mondo underground?
Corpus Vitreum is a metal studio project with two musicians from Germany. Formed in 2019 in Bonn the envision of melancholic, atmospheric, agnostic music was started from interplays with guitars only. Further instruments were included during composition of the songs. The atmosphere was accompanied with empathic and emotional vocals by Sebastian B. Mirgeler. The recording of the debut album started in 2020 and was finished in the Soundsight Studio in 2021. To make the music more exciting, more atmospheric and to attract more attention to every single song, Corpus Vitreum has created a new concept for their release.
Da quali generi e bands è influenzato il gruppo?
The atmospheric melodies switch from creepy, weird feelings to thoughtful parts. The grand concepts and ambitious arrangements are influenced by different music and metal styles, like post black, doom and blackgaze, but also music from the 80s and 70s. Corpus Vitreum doesn ́t want to bring these various influences together or define themself through a certain style. The atmosphere and the emotions come first. The sad and depressed lyrics which are arised from psychological and philosophical aspects were wrapped into dark and horrifying fantasy worlds. The aim is to yarn a musicalscape in which people immerse, get lost and even drown. The result shows the fragility of everything.
So che potrebbe non essere facile farlo, ma potreste commentare il vostro ultimo lavoro?
Each song of Corpus Vitreum should be recognized as a stand-alone work. To highlight the significance of each song, they are published monthly as singles, according to the lunar month at new moon. The monthly main songs are previewed at full moon with an silent and quite instrumental version, which is called The silent Roots of... Each piece of music is presented with its own artwork / photography / rune and the concept flows together on the website.
La scena metal underground è indubbiamente inflazionata da tantissmi gruppi, per cui (spesso) risulta necessario presentare delle composizioni che si facciano notare nel marasma delle varie scene musicali. Ritenete che le vostre canzoni abbiano da dire qualcosa in più o di diverso da quello che è già stato detto nell'affollatissimo mondo metal?

La carriera di un gruppo musicale (pur breve che possa essere) è sempre costellata di avvenimenti più o meno positivi. Cosa vorreste cancellare e cosa ricorderete per sempre della vostra esperienza di gruppo, dagli inizi inizi sino ad ora?
We had and have a great time. To this all experience are important, the tough ones and the good ones.
Come giudicate il veicolo Internet per la promozione della scena musicale?

There were a lot of CDs to buy, what we did. In time of all the streaming services it is easy to get access and hear the music everywhere. But still CDs, Vinyl etc. are important to support the bands. In addition, a physical sound carrier looks great for your collection.
